![]() ![]() I know they have suites, but I didn't expect that anyway. During check-in in Hotel Indigo Brooklyn I was given their 'best' room (those are rooms with balcony on 3rd floor) with personalized welcome gift. However, the mediocre IHG probably begins to change since they introduce Spire last year and they slowly understand the customer loyalty. Being IHG Gold was never my intention - I 'accidentally' reached their 10 nights Gold threshold because I don't always have big choice with my favorite chain (CC). When it comes to IHG property, I am always pessimistic since their customer service never works. And even if you are in the room, for the price, it is acceptable - The decor, furnishings and amenities are lovely! So, in short, we have decided that Hotel Indigo Brooklyn would be our new address everytime we come to New York! However, you do not come to New York to live in a hotel room! Like us, you should be busy shopping and taking in the sites of New York. Within 10-15 minutes we were in Manhattan! The location simply cannot be beaten! Granted, the rooms are somewhat small. The Hoyt Station is mere steps away from the hotel on the same street. We were able to visit many of the major tourist attractions in the five New York boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island) using these stations. In addition, you have amazing access to Subway stations (Hoyt, Dekalb and Jay St). ![]() As well as Restaurants (Juniors, Applebees etc), Convenience stores (7-Eleven), Brooklyn Tabernacle Church, Cinemas etc. ![]() As you step out of the hotel, there is shopping on Fulton Mall with name brand stores lining the street (Macy's, Polo, H&M, TJ Maxx etc). The location is really what sold us on this place. We spent 12 days at Hotel Indigo Brooklyn and it was excellent! What stood out for us at this hotel was the decor, cleaniness, friendly staff and superb location. ![]()
